not tonight dear
kelly | 24 June 2005 - 12:32pm
Okay fine, Nilbo, here's the rest of the story (sorta). Rob went to bed before me because I was dumping all the pictures from the camera onto my laptop. I crawled into bed about half an hour later and he was OUT. I nudged him and said in my sexiest birthday girl voice, "Honey, I'm ready for my last birthday present."
Still very much asleep, he responded, "Anybody can." (Anybody can what? Anybody can give me my last birthday present? Um, can I get that in writing?!)
I love having conversations with Rob when he's asleep, because it's the only time I'm smarter than him. So I said, "Hmmm? What's that?"
And he blinked his eyes a few times and said, "I mean, anybody can sell that promotion to anyone."
I'm not sure, but I think he was calling me a prostitute.

a few of my favorite things
kelly | 24 June 2005 - 7:57am
When greenie had a birthday awhile back, he filled his day with all the things he loved. That inspired me to do the same. I took off work yesterday and did a few of my favorite things: morning coffee with Rob, massage, ice cream at the local shop, time with Mom, blogging, Sex and the City, and a fondue dinner. All in all it was a good day.
And here are a few of the favorite presents I received. (Consider this my stuff portrait day: birthday edition.)
A monopod for Dakoda, from Rob

Purse-sized journal in which to record my every blogworthy moment. From Doreen.

I've been pointing at my boobs whenever I want to disclaim that "I'm blogging this" - now I actually have the shirt to go along with it! From Rob.

Ooh, and a spa gift certificate from my mom. And of course, everything JOHN STAMOS, which I have already more than sufficiently documented on this blog.
Thanks to all of you for your well wishes and for indulging me in this weeklong birthday fest. It's over now, really.
