Last summer Rob and I embarked on a vacation with my family, and that went so well that this year we figured we'd throw in the in-laws, too. Why not, right? Either we are members of an advanced life form who have mastered the whole peace, love, and getting along with family thing, or we are fucking CRAZY. But yesterday I shat a rainbow so I'm thinking it's the former.

We're headed to Alaska, a trip we'd always planned to take, just maybe once we were retired. It's sorta an old person thing, I think, to travel to Alaska. I'm taking my knitting so that I'll fit in with all the 80 year-old ladies on the tour.

The cats have noticed our suitcases and are understandably suspicious. We have folks staying with them, so they'll survive, but I swear they are already SO PISSED.

All of this is to say that things will be quiet around here for a bit, although I hope to post some photos along the way.
