twit

kelly  |  19 May 2008 - 9:34pm

So I just discovered that EVERYONE BUT ME is on Twitter. I knew a couple folks were, but tonight I discovered, like, EVERYONE. Especially all the people in the old gang who don't update their blogs much anymore. Turns out? You're all Twittering! Who knew? It seems everyone just up and moved to a different neighborhood.

I have been staunchly resisting Twitter since I first heard about it. For many reasons, laziness being near the top of the list. But now I'm feeling all left out and shit. It's like when you choose not to attend a party, but then proceed to pout about missing it.

Yeah, I joined ages ago, then deleted my account and just recently joined again. So did you join?

Sharkey  |  19 May 2008 - 10:44pm

I'm one of those lapsed bloggers who's recently become a twit. I resisted for a long time, probably for some of the same reasons you did. I try to only check it a couple times during the day--I can see it becoming a total time suck.

Same as others. I signed up ages ago, but couldn't get into it. Now . . . it's my blogging substitute. C'mon.

William  |  20 May 2008 - 5:29am

Total peer pressure moment.

Charlotte  |  20 May 2008 - 7:33am

C'mon... all of the cool kids are doing it!

geeky  |  20 May 2008 - 9:09am

Don't worry, I'm not twittering either! I just can't get into it. I suspect it's because my life in monumentally boring.

jana  |  20 May 2008 - 9:58am

I'm a Twit because I'm not exciting enough to make an entire blog post!

RzDrms  |  20 May 2008 - 10:13am

i'm not a twitterer for various reasons as well. shoot, i blogged for, like, what? five minutes? and then gave it all up. i'm currently (and unsuccessfully) attempting to quit reading blogs as well. twitter's just too much, like ten ping-pong games all going on at the same time! i can't keep up.

William  |  20 May 2008 - 7:35pm

Raz, What? quit reading blogs? is that where you have been?

MayB  |  21 May 2008 - 12:27am

I joined, but I too find it a bit overwhelming at times. Especially those who feel the need to update every 5 minutes. But, it is a lot of fun and I feel left out when I'm not near a computer now.

It's the new blog crack, and we're your dealers. You know you want some. Although, twitter seems to break as much as blogger did. It has some major growing pains going on.

Jenski  |  21 May 2008 - 8:35pm

I think it would be extremely detrimental to my schooling to join twitter. I have to resist until the dissertation is written.

RzDrms  |  21 May 2008 - 9:12pm

worry not, wils. i would never leave you nor forsake you. (i wrote "office p0rn" in your comments last night, just to show you my blove.)

Mainline Mom  |  21 May 2008 - 10:27pm

Oh yeah, we are. I assumed you knew. C'mon, join us!! You know you want to. It's like blogging for the ADHD crowd.

Charlotte  |  22 May 2008 - 11:40am

For all you know we could be Twittering about you RIGHT NOW!
