That is so much work! I just re-did the kids' bathroom last summer, swapping light fixtures, pulling up the commode and replacing the wax seal, putting in a new sub-floor and vinyl tiles instead of the carpet! that was in there... bleah! Who puts carpet in a kids' bathroom?!?! And what's with the wooden everything? We had that too -- it's gone now. Nice job you've done -- the blue is beautiful!
It looks really good! Quite a bit better than it was. The only thing that is odd to me is the black toilet seat. But I guess we all have slightly different taste.
Is this the upstairs bathroom you hate so much? Looks like a retreat now. I must have the name of the new blue and where you got it. I'm looking for a blue for my master bedroom. Think it would be too much in such a large space?
gorgeous! but i think the toilet seat is actually a rich, dark brown color...like the color of the vanity wood. like a cherry color, not black. just my guess though. :)
Yes, Rz, you're right. The vanity and toilet seat are both dark wood - actually not cherry, but "espresso". The light in the shot is a little funky, which makes the seat look black.
And UCM, the paint color is Valspar's Shaker Box Blue, which we got at Lowe's.
When I saw this in my feed reader the photos weren't included, and initially I thought maybe you'd cleaned! I don't know how your house is, but around here cleaning the bathroom is a photo- and blog-worthy event. I would LOVE to have a magic wand for it!
It really looks great--I'm loving the colors. Did you frame the mirror yourselves, or buy one that was already framed? I'd like to frame ours, but am unsure how we would deal with the clips that attach it to the wall.
Is that an outlet next to the toilet tank? Okay, I need to go now, as I'm seeing about 10 other things I could comment on!
OMG!!! Sooooooo much better. Seriously.
Wow. Just wow. I so totally suck at decorating.
Great new color!
wow...looks awesome.
Wow! You guys did a great job!
Thank you! But, granted, the makeover is so dramatic only because the original room was absolutely hideous.
I love it!

I'm Impressed
Wow, the after looks great! I love the dark wood. Strangely, the shower curtain in our bathroom would be perfect in yours!

The silver fixtures are particularly nice. :-)

It's gorgeous! Come do mine. No, really.
Just remember righty-tighty-lefty-loosey when you start waving that magic wand. :P

Looks fantastic and I love that espresso colour. Whenever I see a wood toilet seat all I can think about is SPLINTERS!
beauty. Love the blue.
