robservation #24: where my wife and money goes
rob | 16 April 2007 - 7:10pm
This month's credit card bill listed more trips to Target than to the grocery store. And we get groceries several times per week!
She says she goes straight to the gym after work, but the bill reveals the truth: the credit card is the one getting the workout.

He almost posted "but the bill reveals the truth: my wallet is the only one getting thinner."
I know, right? Rude.
:)
uh oh, busted! but, it is Target. who could blame her? :)
Maybe one of the stock boys at Target looks like Justin Timberlake.
As my parents always say, you are just doing your part to keep the economy flowing. ;-)
they've got food at Target right? So that can still be labeled under 'groceries'.
I'm married, I'm great at these semantic problems.
For awhile there, I was banned from Target because of the bills. But it's not my fault, I blame Target, putting all those cute and reasonable clothes right in front next to the shopping carts. I'm trying to get myself situated, pulling out the list of essentials and that skirt and top SCREAM my name. How can I pass when I'm being howled at? Really it's embarrassing and I try to do the right thing by taking that item into my cart. Really I should be commended for my open and generous heart.
hey rob- i don't like all this "my" money stuff- doesn't kalki bring home a salary????
:)
I just can't restrain myself anymore; something must be said here.
Shouldn't the title read, "where my wife and money go?"
I'm shocked - SHOCKED! - that Nilbo didn't point this out already. (Unless it's because I'm wrong, in which case I'm embarrassed - SHAMED!)
whew, ladybug, thank goodness! i was literally clicking on the comments to type the exact same thing (less the nils part), because i was about to burst, because i'm psycho like that. and kalki knows it. i'm so glad you're a word psycho like me. just...whew. :)
See, it didn't bother me because I took it as, "Where my wife goes and where my money goes."
Perhaps parentheses? "Where my wife (and money) goes."
