- Is it bad to go to the retirement party of a person in your office building whom you don't know just so you can snag some cake? Really bad if you then congratulate him as if you know him, surely causing him fears of senility?
- Vanilla cola flavored lip gloss serves the exact opposite purpose for which it's intended because of all the lip-licking it induces. One's lips are persistently chapped despite/because of the stuff. But on the bright side - mmmm, they taste like vanilla cola!
- When a man in a cowboy hat offers you a toothpick, take it. It's his way of being chivalrous. Never mind that you won't need it with your tuna salad sandwich.
- Allergies are to spring like blisters to new shoes - bothersome side effects, but so totally worth it.

Honestly, Kelly, free cake is ALWAYS worth the trouble and potentially bad rep. It's CAKE.
And WORD to the last analogy. I walk outside and feel like I've finally escaped a dark cloud. Totally worth the itchy ears and watery eyes.
caaaaaaaaaaaaaake. I hope it was good cake. There is nothing more disappointing food-wise than crappy dessert, because your expectations are high and there is that feeling as if it had better be 'worth it' (calorie-wise, of course).
As for the allergy symptoms, all of those drug manufacturers would disagree with you on that one. Science and research managed to develop those drugs after a lot of trial and error, and then people refuse to take them.... it boggles the mind. (although I do know that some people have side effects that are also bothersome, so I _do_ understand the argument against taking them). But yes, Spring is definitely worth any hassles that come along with it. Well, maybe not the tornados, but most of the hassles anyway.
