I have a similiar "grady" problem as well but since mine isn't under the porch I have been far less concerned about curing it. Our Grady is near the apple trees so life must be a bonanza for him. I fear this summer life as he has known it will turn upside down as I intend to burn the brush pile he lives under (though the purpose of said burn isn't connected to his residence). If you figure out a good, safe method of removal let me know. I'm afraid the only method I know that works involves two dogs and a little time which isn't really practical (or humane).
Oh my gosh. He looks just like Andie MacDowell when she's doing the groundhog imitation in Groundhog Day.
And! There's his shadow! Oh, wait. A bit late to be excited about that, I guess...
I call beaver!
I'm pretty sure that's a stoat. Or maybe a marmot.
Grady is definitely a nutria.
Okay, so he's too cute to be a nutria. He's got that cute fluffy tail instead of a rat tail.
I don't know why, but I thought you killed off Grady last year. Maybe he just disappeared for awhile? Must go read that post you linked now...
I wonder if Heather from the "Grady's Fable" post ever caught her fat ass gopher last year?
Look at that cute furry little stud muffin.
Awesome picture, awesome post.
He's really cute! What is he? I woodchuck or a little groundhog? We don't see many little critters like that in Jersey.
Eminmen's living in your backyard?
Am so very jealous.
At this very moment our yard and sun deck are being attacked and scoped out for their livability by mallard ducks...today's wildlife is relentless!!
Yeah, the Game's living in my toolshed. He won't leave - keeps yelling something about getting some bitches and Remy in there.
On the good side, my lawnmower's got spinners now.
i'm very upset that you're allowing my ex-boyfriend to live in your yard every time he runs away from his responsibilities at home. ;)
i have a groundhog too! i named him chuck. chuck lives under my porch. i don't mind though, because my porch is rented, so if he chews through anything, it's not my problem :)
