After much asking of the locals, we have found the Full House house! Well, sorta. But not really.
The houses pictured here are on Steiner Street across from Alamo Park and are known as The Painted Ladies. Remember the shot in the opening sequence (Version 2) of the Tanners picnicking in a park? This is that spot, and is considered the Full House vista. You might assume that one of the houses you see in this shot is where the Tanners live, but if you refer to Version 1 of the opening sequence, you'll see that the white house they live in is not across from a park and does not match the architecture of The Painted Ladies. I've seen lots of houses that look very similar to the Full House house, but I have no idea where to find that particular house, if it's even still around. But I did enjoy sitting in Alamo Park! I told Rob to pretend he was Uncle Jesse and I pretended I was Rebecca and it was very wonderful and romantic. Okay, I'll be honest: It was the HIGHLIGHT OF THE TRIP. There, I said it.
Here's one of me to prove I was there, standing on the same ground that John Stamos graced with his lovely arse.

As long as you washed your feet afterwards, you should be OK ...
Saw the picture, heard the "ah ah ah ah."
And, oh, how you beam! Thank you for not posting a picture of you fondling the ground.
loveyourpurse, ohmygawd!
Close enough for me. Hey, you didn't photoshop yourself in again? Actually, maybe we could find a still of the white house and PS you and John Stamos in. Then you could send it to John for an autograph. That would be awesome, but maybe not as awesome as that purse and cute hair with highlights! Yes, I'm on crack today. It's the weather.
"I told Rob to pretend he was Uncle Jesse and I pretended I was Rebecca..."
"...on the same ground that John Stamos graced with his lovely arse."
Okay, Kelly, I surrender. You've got me beat in the John Stamos obsession department, HANDS DOWN.
And, girl, that is one GARGANTUAN purse! Did you carry Rob in there?
I am so happy for you, Kelly !
LYME!
My above statement is serious, not sarcastic, as it might be mistaken for. Not that anybody would make a sarcastic comment about Full House OR JS. That's e-suicide right there.
Ah, good 'ol uncle Joey.
I'll be honest...this whole thing is completely wasted on me, but it doesn't change the way I feel about you and your blog. As long as it makes you happy. :o)
Uncle Joey? You mean Uncle Jesse? "Joey" was the blond dude - notsocute. Uncle Jesse was edible. Joey was just huggable.
My bag does look huge in that picture, doesn't it? I swear it's just the way the light is hitting it...
I bought that purse at a meeting a few months ago. I had driven 2 hours for a completely pointless work meeting, and there was a vendor in the conference room next door selling purses (random, I know). I was late returning to the meeting after lunch because I was buying that purse. What a concept though - they should totally provide shopping opportunities at all work meetings to make it worth our while.
I think I watched every single episode of Full House--I loved Uncle Jesse "Have mercy"--I'm so envious of you finding these houses--quite nice pics too!
(Got your link from Greenthumb)
Thanks for stopping by, Effie! I can one up you, though. I think we TAPED every single episode of Full House. (Will I go to prison for admitting that?) My brother and I watched them over and over and over and we still have most of the lines memorized.
And Uncle Jesse - HAVE MERCY indeed!
